"It is not true that people stop pursuing dreams because they grow old, they grow old because they stop pursuing dreams."
Just a quick shout out to my favorite author of all time, Gabriel García Márquez, who turns 85 today. He's perhaps best known as the author of One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera, but the short story "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings" is my favorite work by him, and it had a profound impact on me the first time I read it.
So here's to a man with unbridled creativity and passion, who has not been constrained by language or format or genre. He deserves every accolade he's received, and more.
